When he spots strange men entering a remote canyon on his family's ranch, Riley rides down and discovers moonshiners. His encounter begins a quick-paced adventure that involves an oil boomtown, Texas Rangers, outlaws, arsenic poisoning, and more. Many of the characters are stock and the ending is somewhat unrealistic, but Riley is likable and the adventure is worth following.
